Junction of Main Bazaar & Jalan China

Went urban-sketching with Ms Yeo & Lee again.  This time at Main Bazaar.  It's a sun-shiny day, but we found nice shady spots under the trees along the Waterfront.

REVIEW & GIVEAWAY : My Memories Suite Digital Scrapbooking Software

Raise your hands if you like scrap booking!!!  2 weeks ago,  Liz from My Memories Suite offered me to host a My Memories Suite Giveaway!
I was very excited as this was my very first official Giveaway!  I was also a bit worried because I was never really computer savvy.  I had been surviving now with the most basic commands on my computer and the net.  Despite all that, I was still having fun.  So, I took this as a challenge for me to upgrade myself and of course in the process use this scrapbook software for my future projects too!

So I thought about what should I immortalise in memory ... of course, my wedding album!!!  It had been 6 amazing roller-coaster years, that I had married my sweetheart. And so, I compiled selected photos that best captured the day, for my review project.
It's just too easy!  I never imagined it to be so much fun.  I totally got so sucked-in with it's default shapes & embellishments!  I was 'garnishing' my album like no tomorrow.  I finished it in 2 hours... well, it took only 10 mins for the software to automate all my photos from a folder into a photo album format.  But, I was spending so much time tweaking and testing out all the other functions!

Family Time in Perth

Just returned from my Perth trip.  Most of my activities there revolved around the family.  We hadn't spent a lot of time bonding as a family for a long time, especially when my sis & bro-in-law now lives in Perth.  I like the casual & 'no-rush' schedule; afterall, it's supposed to be a 'holiday'.  So with all the family outings, I didn't find time to hangout with friends.  I might have to make another trip for that then (now, that's a valid reason to return).

Family outings included sis & mom's birthday lunch buffet at Burswood, shopping for outdoor stuff with the husband, bro's graduation at UWA, double dates with husband's cousin, sis's house-warming-birthday celebration, hiking with family at Lesmurdie Falls, etc. etc. etc.

Here are some sketches I did when there is extra time to kill.

Padungan

A ole-skool sundry shop along Padungan Road... I love a busy scene, with a lot of inanimate details.

Kenyalang

Last weekend, Ms Yeo, Lee & I went sketching in one of my favourite places ... Kenyalang Park Shopping Centre.  I always go there for my crafting supplies, costuming supplies, junk food, supplies of box sets, etc.  But, this trip is purely sketching ... no shopping.  Mine ...
... and Ms Yeo's sketch.
